Autonomic Resources' Infrastructure Completes DoD CSM Impact Level 5 Assessment

CARY, N.C., Nov. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Autonomic Resources has successfully completed the security assessment of their Autonomic Resources Cloud Platform (ARC-P™) up to Impact Level 5 of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Cloud Security Model (CSM). This assessment was conducted by accredited 3rd Party Assessor, Veris Group, LLC. To meet the DoD requirements, Autonomic implemented 68 additional security controls beyond their FedRAMP JAB authorization and 48 previously assessed FedRAMP controls were enhanced to meet tightened security parameters. The Security Assessment Report (SAR) is currently under review by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Field Security Operations (FSO).

The DISA-developed DoD CSM provides a formalized assessment and authorization process for cloud service providers (CSPs) to achieve compliance with DoD cloud security standards to gain a DoD Provisional Authorization. A Provisional Authorization under the CSM enables DoD agencies to efficiently deploy cloud solutions for their sensitive applications and workloads. Authorization for security Impact Levels 3-5 of the CSM allow commercial CSPs to hold the highest levels of confidential, unclassified DoD data.

ARC-P™ was then accepted for FedRAMP processing in July 2012 and received FedRAMP's first ATO from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) in December 2012. In April 2013, Autonomic Resources received the first issued DoD Provisional Authorization at Impact Level 2 for its ARC-P™ IaaS platform.
