AV Homes Announces Date For Encore At Eastmark Opening
First 55-Plus Community in East Valley in Seven Years
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AV Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVHI) has announced the date of the opening for its newest 55-Plus community in DMB's acclaimed master-planned community of Eastmark in Mesa, Arizona. The new community, Encore at Eastmark, is located at Ray Road just east of Ellsworth, and will begin sales March 7.
Encore at Eastmark was specifically planned and designed for 55-Plus active adults and is a highly-anticipated addition to the popular master planned community of Eastmark. Upon completion, Encore will feature four unique home design series with more than 900 homes. Community amenities include a beautiful, 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art Village Center featuring a luxurious resort pool, fitness center, class facilities, and a full calendar of social events.
Encore will offer 16 floor plans ranging in size from approximately 1,300 to 3,200 square feet. The community will offer a wide variety of the most popular design features including inviting entry courtyards, expansive kitchens and living areas, as well as innovative outdoor spaces.
"There has not been a new 55-Plus community development in the East Valley in more than seven years, and Encore has been designed as an active adult community built within a larger master-planned community, similar to CantaMia, AV Homes' popular 55-Plus community at Estrella. Encore will provide more living choices to boomers looking for a carefree and active lifestyle," said Chris Cady, Arizona division president of AV Homes. "The East Valley's growth is unmistakable as is the growth of the boomer market. From Apple building its global command center in Mesa, to the proximity to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and several freeways, the area is a prime location for employment opportunities. With more and more 55-Plus buyers choosing to remain active in their careers, Encore is the place to be."
Eastmark is quickly becoming the focal point in the fast-growing development corridor along the 202 Freeway in the Southeast Valley. Apple recently announced it would be investing $2 billion at Eastmark in Mesa in a command center for the company's global networks -- representing one of the company's largest investments in its history. The facility is expected to employ 150 full-time, high-wage Apple employees, providing 300-500 construction and trade jobs.
Encore's premier location will provide opportunities for Encore's residents to stay connected with the community, take advantage of educational resources, and explore new interests. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, by 2030, the 65-plus population will double to about 71.5 million, and by 2050 will grow to 86.7 million people, the fastest growing in U.S. history. Encore at Eastmark is meeting the need for this growth by providing sophisticated housing options as more baby boomers retire and become year-round or seasonal residents of popular Sunbelt states like Arizona.
