Avera eCARE® partners with ViTel Net to scale multi-specialty, B2B and B2G telehealth care delivery

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Avera eCARE and ViTel Net announced their partnership to further scale and enhance efficiency of Avera eCARE's B2B and B2G telehealth service, using ViTel Net's vCareCommand^TM enterprise platform for Avera eCARE multi-specialty clinic services and behavioral health. The partnership will increase access to care for underserved rural communities and fill care gaps for community hospitals, whose demand for a given specialty has outpaced their capacity to provide services locally.

ViTel Net's platform enables Avera eCARE to efficiently and automatically keep their subscribing partners' electronic health records current with the results from Avera eCARE clinician consultations. ViTel Net configured the integrated solution to Avera eCARE's workflow specifications. The referring partner physicians will be able to place telehealth consult orders from inside their own EHR, while the Avera eCARE consulting clinicians use ViTel Net specialties documentation for all care delivery. Administrative inefficiencies, along with the errors associated with manual record updates of the partner's EHR are eliminated through standards based EHR integration and automated dataflow.

ViTel Net's scheduling module also enables Avera eCARE to manage its resources efficiently and effectively for its specialty clinics. Being able to see patient, physician, equipment, and location availability in a single interface simplifies the otherwise complex coordination associated with scheduling telehealth appointments.
