AVT Attends MAGIC Market Week Trade Show
Biggest apparel brands in the world meet and discuss Automated Retailing
CORONA, Calif., Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com) attended the MAGIC Market Week Trade Show to meet with leading designers and executives of retail clothing brands and stores, to discuss new methods of distribution though Automated Micro-Stores.
The MAGIC Show is the preeminent trade event in the international fashion industry, hosting global buyers and sellers of men's, women's and children's apparel; footwear, accessories and sourcing resources.
Among the many meetings the company took, was with Luke Burrett, founder of Silver Star - one of the original and leading MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) apparel brands, and co-founder of Panic Switch Army.
Burrett, who is known as the "Godfather" of branded apparel, said that he is a big fan of automated retailing. "I love the technology that AVT brings to retailing," he said. "They give the consumer options on how they can purchase products. Some people like shopping in a retail store, others like shopping online – but AVT's Micro-Stores gives you both," Burrett stated. "You can have the immediate gratification of receiving the product you want in an instant, and also use their touchscreen panel to connect to the company's website to order additional merchandise, if you desire," he added. "It's really the best of both worlds."
AVT management also met with Dan Caldwell, an apparel industry visionary and co-founder of TapouT - a leading MMA apparel brand with sales of $200 million annually.
"I have great respect for the work AVT is doing," Caldwell said. "The world is changing, and AVT is at the leading edge by giving brand owners like myself a new and exhilarating way to grow our businesses," he added.
"We came to the show to demonstrate to the leading brands of the world that Automated Retailing through our Micro-Stores are a cost effective way to expand distribution, promote name recognition, advertise 24-hours a day, and ultimately, increase revenues," Shannon Illingworth, Chairman and Founder of AVT stated. "The list of major brands that have adopted and endorsed our systems is growing all the time, as more and more progressive companies seek new ways to engage customers and drive new sales."
Luke Burrett agrees that the trend toward Automated Micro-Stores will continue to grow. "There are almost no reasons why not to open a Micro-Store," he stated. "They are relatively inexpensive, they sell 24/7, and they function like a giant billboard for your brand," he added.
The true barometer of his confidence in AVT's automated retailing solutions was best summarized when Burrett stated, "I'm not only a believer in AVT, I'm now also an investor."
