This witty, coming-of-age dramedy, set in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, revolves around the story of New Yorkers on the cusp of their 30's striving to balance their fading dreams with the growing responsibilities of love, life and career. The film was written and directed by first time filmmaker Evan Mathew Weinstein, who moved away from his typical on-camera role as actor and took post behind the cameras. The film boasts a stellar cast including headlined star Joseph R. Gannascoli of "Sopranos" and co-stars Christian Coulson of "Harry Potter" and 2015 Tony Winner Michael Cerveris.
In a recent interview featured on Yahoo Business Journal, Weinstein comments, "Every audience– demographics across the spectrum– has responded so enthusiastic and positive! It's been a true personal joy to travel and meet so many other friendly, talented, and beautiful people. We are truly blessed that it is all culminating with a nationwide cable VOD release in August!"
"Circadia" has been sweeping the festival circuit by storm garnering attention and praise from the media and film critics, already winning more than 10 awards including "Director's Choice" at Indie Spirit, the "Verizon People's Choice Award" and "Best Feature" at First Glance. The film recently premiered on May 16 at the Soho Film Festival in New York and is screening at the Manhattan Film Festival on Tuesday, June 23.
