Appointment Reflects Commitment to Marketing as a Growth Engine

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company today announced it has named Amy J. Radin to the newly created position of senior executive vice president and chief marketing officer. The appointment, confirmed by the board of directors Feb. 9, reflects the company's commitment to marketing and communications as critical engines of growth, brand awareness, and customer centricity – key elements behind the company's strategic goals.  

Radin, most recently chief innovation officer at E*Trade Financial Corp., reports to Mark Pearson, chairman and chief executive officer of AXA Equitable. She also becomes a member of the executive committee led by Pearson, expanding the group to seven.

Radin will work closely with the Retirement Savings and Financial Protection & Wealth Management divisions to develop and implement strategies aimed at growing the business as well as enhancing the customer experience.

Prior to her time at E*Trade, Radin led marketing, digital and customer service initiatives at Reader's Digest Association, Inc. and spent nine years at Citigroup, Inc., most recently as an executive vice president of the Global Consumer Group where she led numerous marketing, innovation and digital transformation efforts. Before joining Citi, she served as an executive with broad marketing and customer engagement responsibilities at Dime Bancorp as well as the American Express Company. She holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University.

Reporting to Radin is Stacy Braun, senior vice president, strategic marketing solutions, and Marcia Tierney, senior vice president, corporate communications. Both positions formerly reported to Richard V. Silver, senior executive vice president, chief legal officer, chief administrative officer, and also a member of the executive committee.
