MENLO PARK, Calif., April 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ayasdi, a developer of machine intelligence applications for healthcare, announced several new additions to support the company's rapidly growing healthcare vertical.
Dr. Francis "FX" Campion, a practicing internist with Boston's Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, joined Ayasdi as its first Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Campion is responsible for the clinical vision of the company's healthcare vertical and will work closely with Ayasdi's growing roster of clients to support them as they deploy the company's clinical variation management and denials management solutions. Further, as a practicing clinician, Dr. Campion will provide valuable guidance to the product teams as they extend Ayasdi's portfolio of award winning software applications.
Dr. Campion joins Ayasdi from Dovetail Health, where he served as CMO. Prior to Dovetail, he was the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Alere Analytics, where he led the expansion of its library of evidence-based content. Previously, Dr. Campion has held roles at Outcome Sciences, Atrius Health, Caritas Christi and Lahey. He is board certified in both internal medicine and clinical informatics and is an instructor in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Mary Hardy, a healthcare data analytics sales leader with more than 25 years' experience, joined Ayasdi as the Vice President of Healthcare. Hardy owns the go-to-market strategy for payers, providers, and integrated delivery networks.
Hardy joined Ayasdi from ZirMed, where she served as the Vice President of Sales for the company's Population Health solutions and Director of Business Development. Hardy spent nearly two decades with GE Healthcare, where she held multiple roles in sales and account management before going on to manage GE Healthcare's indirect distribution channel.
In addition to crafting the strategic vision for the healthcare team, Hardy will lead the sales effort, assembling a team with deep domain expertise in analytics and software including:
- Keg Alan Avakian, a sales executive with more than 20 years' experience selling healthcare enterprise software and technology solutions, who will serve as Ayasdi's Regional Vice President Sales, East.
- Carolyn Duffield, who was named the company's Strategic Relations Manager, brings two decades of sales and leadership experience at GE Healthcare and ZirMed.
- Amy Evale Brouhle, RN, BSN, MBA, MHA, Regional Vice President Sales, West, was responsible for business development and sales as such healthcare companies as Sg2, Press Ganey Associates, GE Healthcare, and Trizetto.
"These additions to the Ayasdi healthcare team underscore our commitment to the success of our customers in healthcare," said Ayasdi CEO Gurjeet Singh. "Their leadership and creativity will enhance Ayasdi's leadership position in key analytical challenges around clinical variation, denials management, member segmentation and patient risk stratification and fraud, waste and abuse."
Ayasdi is on a mission to transform healthcare by developing machine intelligent applications for the largest, most sophisticated health systems and payer organizations. Ayasdi's suite of healthcare applications examine billions of data elements from organizations' own systems of record to uncover pathways of the highest quality, source evidence-based patient care; reduce claims denials; define insurance members' interests, loyalty, and health; and discover genetic relationships to develop more efficacious and targeted drug therapies. Developed by Stanford computational mathematicians, Ayasdi amplifies machine-learning techniques with topological data analysis - automating and accelerating the extraction of knowledge from even the most complex healthcare data.
Ayasdi is funded by leading venture capitalists including Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Khosla Ventures, Institutional Venture Partners, FLOODGATE, GE Ventures, Citi Ventures, Centerview Capital and DraperNexus. Within healthcare, the company has collaborated with Intermountain Health, Mercy, Mt. Sinai, UCSF, UBIOPRED and two of the four largest payers on their most difficult and value-laden challenges.
