Azteca America and Grupo Salinas Partner with Voto Latino to Increase Participation of Hispanics in November Election
LOS ANGELES, May 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America and Grupo Salinas are partnering with Voto Latino in an effort to educate and encourage the Hispanic community to exercise their right to vote.
The multi-media informational campaign includes public service announcements to be aired on Azteca America , a web-based campaign on www.fundacionaztecaamerica.org and printed materials that will be distributed by Azteca America affiliated stations in 75 markets throughout the country. The goal of the campaign is to engage with Latinos and educate them on the importance that each person can make by registering to vote and participating in the upcoming elections.

Additionally, Azteca America will continue to push for support of immigrant rights and a comprehensive immigration reform under the campaign theme of "I too am America," emphasizing the important role that immigrants have played in the development of the United States throughout history.
Separately, Grupo Salinas Founder and Chairman Ricardo Salinas Pliego will present together with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg key findings of a study on creative immigration policies and their economic impact at the New York Forum that will take place on Tuesday, May 22.
