Babson Executive Education Develops Online Entrepreneurial Action Program
BABSON PARK, Mass., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Babson Executive Education, through a partnership with Santander Bank, has developed Entrepreneurial Action, an online course for entrepreneurship students in Brazil.
Entrepreneurial Action offers student entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn how to create sustainable, real-world solutions to social, economic, and environmental issues. Launched in May, more than 3,400 students have registered and both BEE and Santander expect this number to reach 5,000.
Bob Caspe, BEE's faculty director for the program, says that Entrepreneurial Action breaks new ground in entrepreneurship education because it does not use the traditional business plan tool. "Our focus is on action," says Caspe, "Often, the less you know, the better your chances will be for success." The course offers a simple step by step approach to find the business opportunity and start a business, and is built on the accumulated experience of real entrepreneurs who started real businesses.
Says Caspe, "Thanks to the generosity of Bank Santander, this is the first time many of these students have been exposed to the process of entrepreneurship, and I can't wait to see the results."
