Back by Popular Demand: Precertification Courses Offered at 2014 iaedp Symposium
PEKIN, Ill., Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) is proud to announce the return of pre-certification courses for treatment professionals at its annual Symposium, held on Feb. 26 and 27, 2014 , immediately before the start of the 28th annual Symposium program at TradeWinds Island Resort on St. Pete Beach, Fla. The program offers professionals new to the field or who do not specialize in eating disorders a comprehensive introduction to eating disorders as well as professionals who specialize in eating disorders and want to be recognized as a certified professional, comprehensive eating disorder training courses in a two-day, 12-hour track.
There will be four three-hour courses presented by respected eating disorder professionals who sit on iaedp's Advisory Board, including: Kimberli McCallum, MD; Holly Finlay, MA, LPCC; Cathy Reto, PhD; Vicki Berkus, MD, PhD, CEDS; and Ralph Carson, PhD, RD. Course titles are: Overview of Eating Disorders, Treatment Modalities, Nutritional Aspects of Eating Disorders and Medical Aspects of Eating Disorders.

All other prerequisites for certification regarding education, experience, supervision and successful completion of a written examination apply. The precertification courses are offered as a separate track for $200 or combined with a Symposium 2014 registration for an additional $100.
