Back Yard Burgers Kicks Off National Burger Month with Free Burgers
Celebration giveaways continue through May with grills, grilling accessories, gift cards
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- May is National Burger Month, and Back Yard Burgers will kick off the celebration in a grand way by giving away free one-third pound Back Yard burgers on May 1 to the first 100 guests at participating locations starting at 10 a.m.
It will continue the festivities throughout the month by giving away Weber grills, grilling accessories and gift cards. Giveaway sign-ups are at participating Back Yard Burgers locations and online at www.BackYardBurgers.com.
"Back Yard Burgers believes that the only real burgers are burgers hot off the grill, so we created 'National Burger Day' on May 1 to start National Burger Month in a fitting fashion," said Dawn Boulanger, vice president of marketing for Back Yard Burgers. "Free burgers on May 1 are a great way to start the month celebration, and we'll keep the fun going from there."
This is the second year for National Burger Day, and Back Yard Burgers wants people to start circling May 1 on their calendars every year and continue celebrating the whole month.
"May 1 is Back Yard Burgers' way of saying, 'Summer's just around the corner, and the good eating starts right now!'" Boulanger said.
Back Yard Burgers is known for its charbroiled 100 percent North American Black Angus beef burgers crowned with a variety of garden-fresh garnishes, cheeses and other toppings, and for its gourmet grilled chicken sandwiches.
In addition to its gourmet burgers and chicken sandwiches, the Back Yard Burgers menu also features milkshakes made with hand-dipped premium ice cream and fresh-baked cobbler.
Back Yard Burgers has been grilling burgers to order since 1987 when it opened its first location in Cleveland, Miss. and now has more than 120 restaurants in 20 states. Its headquarters is in Nashville, Tenn., and its philosophy says heat should come from the grill, not a warming lamp or a microwave.
