Bahrainis Send Donations of Humanitarian Aid to War-Torn Syria

MANAMA, Bahrain, Feb. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As violence in Syria rages on, Bahrainis are collecting donations of humanitarian aid for Syrians affected by their country's unrelenting unrest.

The "Let It Go Bahrain" organization and 30 volunteers have been working around-the-clock since last Sunday to collect medical supplies, clothes, food and blankets to deliver to Syrians in need. 

Local companies, such as the Tea Club in Amwaj and Just Cupcake Bakery, have also joined in the cause by donating days' worth of proceeds.

The drive ends tomorrow and shipments head to Syria Sunday.
