SYDNEY, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bangkok Smartcard System (BSS) executes contract to implement Vix ERG's MASS clearing house solution.

BSS have secured a major component in developing their vision to direct Bangkok towards a cashless society, announcing Vix ERG as the partner for the design and delivery of a smartcard clearing house solution for micropayments.

The clearing house solution is based upon Vix ERG's highly successful MASS system which has been implemented in 11 cities in 5 countries around the world, most notably in Beijing, China where the system currently processes over 9 million transactions per day. 

"The system will initially provide support for an integrated payments solution for the Bangkok Mass Transit System Company Limited (BTSC) and Bangkok Metro Company Limited (BMCL) transit systems. Over time the system will be extended to provide support for other transit modes and to support micropayments generally in Bangkok" said Mr. Nelson Leung, Executive Director of BSS.
