DENVER, June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of the West today announced the appointment of Joe Chasteen as Senior Vice President, National Small Business Manager, focusing on providing products and services to support the Bank's small and mid-size banking customers with annual revenues under $10 million. In this role, Chasteen will oversee Bank of the West's growing Business Banking Officer (BBO) teams, will be based in Bank of the West's Denver office, and will report to Michelle Di Gangi, Executive Vice President of Small and Medium-Size Enterprise Banking. Chasteen and his team will partner with all lines of Bank of the West's businesses including the Consumer Banking Division (and its branch network), Bank of the West's Wealth Management Group as well as parent company BNP Paribas to deliver solutions to business customers in the areas the Bank serves.

Chasteen comes to Bank of the West with more than 20 years of business banking experience. Prior to Bank of the West, he was at Fifth Third Bank, where he served both as the Director of Business Banking Strategy, as well as the National Sales Manager, leading Business Banking sales teams who supported businesses with revenue of $2 million to $10 million. He also served as Executive Vice President of Business Banking in the Midwest Territory at PNC, where he ran the business banking team. Chasteen also led Business Banking Treasury Management and Healthcare Business Banking, among other leadership roles, during his 15 years at PNC.
Chasteen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Management from Michigan State University and a Masters of Science in Finance from Walsh College.
