Battle of the Strands launches its 4th Year Tagged Bigger, Bolder and Louder! Top Salons in the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Japan and other countries are gearing up to Compete at the 2014 Season.
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- After a spectacular showcase of talent last October 14, 2013 at the Palms Resort, one of the biggest hair, makeup, and wardrobe competition spanning four countries has expanded to include salons in Canada, Japan, Brazil & Paris among others. It is also expanding its Student Battle to include Beauty Schools from around the world. The Battle of the Strands 2014, otherwise known as the "Project Runway for Stylists", will hold qualifying rounds in NYC, Chicago, Orlando, Vegas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and an Online Battle. Winning teams will be chosen to come face to face for extraordinary elimination challenges to pick the TOP salons in the US and other countries that will compete for the FINALE on October 6 in Las Vegas. Contestants present current wearable trends, couture, and avant-garde looks to be critiqued before a panel of celebrity judges, media, before a live audience.
Battle of the Strands has also partnered with the Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) foundation to expand the Student Battle 2014. BCL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools to build awareness of the extraordinary career opportunities available in the beauty and wellness industry. They provide scholarships, organize and participate in numerous philanthropic activities that shine the spotlight on charitable initiatives of the beauty and wellness community. Battle of the Strands has named BCL as beneficiary of donations from the competition.
ABOUT BATTLE OF THE STRANDS: Battle of the Strands is the first extreme hair, makeup, nails, and wardrobe salon competition that started in Vegas in 2011, expanded nationwide in 2012 and from 2013 an international competition.
