MILAN, Ind., Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Baylor Trucking is proud to announce its involvement in Wreaths Across America for its eight consecutive years.
Professional truck drivers from Baylor Trucking, Inc. will be delivering donated wreaths to 15 veteran cemeteries across Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and Indiana for Wreaths across America Day on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2014. All of the professional drivers who will be delivering wreaths are veterans who have served in multiple combat operations.
"We are proud to be of service and extend gratitude to Veterans and their families" said Cari Baylor, vice president of Baylor Trucking, Inc.
The Baylor family has been deeply involved in Wreaths Across America for almost a decade, and will have four generations of family members traveling to Arlington National Cemetery to lay wreaths this year.
In 2014, Bob Baylor was the inaugural recipient of the James Prout /Wreaths Across America Spirit of Giving Award. The award honors a deserving driver, company or organization which supports charitable causes in a way that will influence future generations. Honoring his memory, Baylor Trucking purchased all the wreaths the legions and veteran organizations needed for Southeastern Indiana this year.
Baylor Trucking will also be having a wreath ceremony on December 16 at their corporate offices emphasizing the program principles, "To Remember, Honor and Teach." Families are welcome to learn about the important symbolism of the wreath and meet Santa who will be arriving in a Baylor truck.
The professional Baylor drivers delivering the wreaths eagerly volunteered to represent the trucking industry as they did our country serving 3 volunteer tours of duty in Vietnam and also nearly a decade in the Army.
Baylor Trucking's involvement in Wreaths Across America is only a part of a nationwide event that will place over 500,000 wreaths on the gravesites of fallen members of the military at veteran cemeteries and Arlington National Cemetery.
