BB's Cafe to Satisfy More Appetites and Cravings With New Location in Houston's Downtown Theater District
HOUSTON, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on the success of its Montrose location, award-winning BB's Cafe will soon be tempting taste buds in burgeoning Downtown Houston with the opening of its next location in the heart of the Theater District, at the corner of Louisiana Street and Texas Avenue. The cafe at 509 Louisiana Street will initially open in summer 2010, serving weekday lunches, offering a variety of office- and event-friendly catering options, and providing the convenience of all-day and late-night delivery service. With the debut of theater season in the fall, the new location's hours will be extended to include dinnertime and beyond, providing an after-dark dining option for residents and patrons of nearby arts and entertainment venues.
BB's "Tex-Orleans" menu is a fusion of food traditions that includes nearly two dozen overstuffed signature po' boys, mouth-watering Mexico City-style tacos, homemade gumbo, mounds of grillades and grits, creative appetizers, healthy salads and more.
Just steps away from many of downtown's hot spots, BB's new location evokes French Quarter feel with a funky twist in an early 1900s building that housed the once renowned Longhorn Cafe. The courtyard patio is shaded by a majestic pecan tree that served as a gathering place for the signing of historic treaties. Continuing its tradition, this specimen of the Texas state tree will perfectly canopy a modern-day power lunch.
Downtown office workers who can't escape their high-rise environs at mealtimes will appreciate BB's delivery of boxed lunches, fresh salads and continental or hot breakfast, in addition to regular menu items. Event planners will welcome BB's myriad of catering choices and helpful service options. From po' boys to prime rib, BB's expansive catering menu includes hot buffets, party and sandwich trays, finger foods and dips, and features foods beyond Tex-Orleans.
About BB's Cafe
Honoring his family's Louisiana heritage, Brooks Bassler founded BB's Cafe in 2007. Bassler's grandmother, "Maw Maw," and family recipes inspired the cafe's dine-in menu, while business partner and executive chef Enedino Cristobal, a native of Puebla, Mexico, contributes his expertise with authentic Mexican cuisine. The resulting fusion creates BB's unique "Tex-Orleans" style and distinctly different menu. In addition to sit-down dining in a relaxed cafe atmosphere, BB's offers full-service corporate and event catering, traditional food delivery and accommodates an underserved market with late-night dining and delivery. BB's original cafe is located at 2710 Montrose, with a Downtown Houston location opening in summer 2010. For more information, please visit www.bbscafe.com.
