New digital platform is a game changer for prospects and clients
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for Valentine's Day, BB&T (NYSE: BBT) associates are sharing their love of U, a free, customizable digital banking platform that brings together many of BB&T's online banking services, along with several new features, into one seamless experience.
Especially during February, associates in our financial centers would love to chat about U by BB&T. Clients will find our associates emblazoned with "We Love U" stickers and ready to tout their favorite "U" features.

For example, many clients are using U as a smarter and simpler way to get help from BB&T associates. The "My Banker" feature allows clients to call or schedule an appointment with their local banker. If clients prefer to reach out to a BB&T Contact Center, they can select the product or service they need within the mobile app and speak with a contact center associate in that area. The app also displays estimated wait times and offers the option to receive a call back at a later time.
Along with all the features already available through BB&T Online banking, U also gives clients the ability to:
- Create and customize their own financial dashboard on any device they choose
- View their accounts and investments from BB&T and other financial institutions
- View and select personalized cash back offers with BB&T Deals
- View their account balances without logging in
- Manage their debit cards and temporarily disable the card if needed
- Capture electronic and paper receipts in their transaction details
- Set financial goals and track their progress with financial planning tools for budgeting, goal setting and transaction categorization
- Make deposits remotely
- Make person-to-person payments from their phone, tablet or desktop, to any person, regardless of where they bank
Since its launch in October, more than 800,000 clients are now using BB&T's new digital platform. Industry observers are also taking notice.
