BeanTree Learning Names New Executive Director for Ashburn Campus
ASHBURN, Va., July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BeanTree Learning, Northern Virginia's premier school for early childhood education, has a new Executive Director to lead its Ashburn Campus. School owner and founder Jennifer Bower has named Martha Malane to the post after a nationwide search for a leader that possessed the educational and director-level experience the role required. "Martha is an outstanding talent and will continue to raise the bar of educational excellence for our students and team members. She has an exceptional background in all areas of childcare having owned her own school and successfully managed multiple childcare operations in her 20-year career in childcare and early childhood education," said Bower.
Ms. Malane has a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from the Master's College in Santa Clarita, California. Most recently, she served as a Childcare Consultant in Tustin, CA where she facilitated the opening of new childcare programs, coordinated licensing compliance, and developed many aspects of the curriculum offering. Prior to this, she developed, owned, and operated her own preschool in Mission Viejo, California for more than 14 years. As an owner, she was responsible for the oversight of all operations of the school, including curriculum development, teacher and staff training, and fiscal management.
"BeanTree is an exceptional school by any standards, providing unparalleled educational offerings for children during their critical learning years. It is clear to me that BeanTree families expect and deserve the utmost care and nurturing for their children in all aspects of our school from academic offerings, outstanding educators, and a safe campus environment. Having worked in the field of early childhood education throughout my career, BeanTree is truly one of the finest schools I have ever experienced and I am thrilled to have the honor to work with the parents, students, and community in leading this outstanding campus, " said Ms. Malane.
Ms. Malane joined the BeanTree family as the school entered the final phases of the accreditation process, an important next step in BeanTree's standards of educational excellence. "We recently earned our accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) through AdvancED. Martha will be able to help us facilitate all the additional educational offerings accreditation affords our students. Her experience in working at schools of our caliber was critical in our selection process and I have no doubt our families will love and value the talents Martha brings to our BeanTree community," said Ms. Bower.
In addition to overseeing a faculty and staff of more than 70 people on the 21,000-square foot campus, Ms. Malane will manage the care and curriculum for over 250 children between the ages of infants and twelve years.
