RESTON, Va., Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bechtel has again been recognized as one of the world's top contractors by Engineering News-Record (ENR), a leading publication for the engineering and construction industry.
The company ranked third on the magazine's Top 250 International Contractors list, up two spots from the previous year, and 10th on the Top 250 Global Contractors list, the same as last year. The companies on the international contractors list are measured by revenue outside of their respective home countries; those on the global contractors list are measured by revenue worldwide. On both lists, Bechtel was the highest-ranked company headquartered in the United States.
"Competition in the global engineering and construction market is as fierce as I've ever seen in my career. That's obviously good for owners, but it's also good for contractors because it drives us to excel. Our continued success in such an environment is tribute to the thousands of Bechtel colleagues around the globe who are dedicated and determined to safely deliver complex projects," said Bechtel President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Dudley.
In addition to being ranked among the top international and global contractors, Bechtel has been named ENR's top U.S. contractor for the last 15 years.
