Belmont Village Brings Custom Design to Senior Living Communities Texas-Based Assisted Living Provider Introduces Brand with Style in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas, March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Belmont Village Senior Living has broken ground on its 23rd community, which will include Assisted Living and dedicated programs for Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer's care. Belmont Village West Lake Hills, located northwest of Austin at 4310 Bee Cave Road, is scheduled to open Spring 2014. Site work is well underway, based on an innovative plan the company says will minimize environmental impact by allowing Belmont to limit building height and maintain the majority of trees and plants on the site.
"We're so pleased to join the West Lake Hills community. We've spent a good deal of time in planning with our neighbors, learning what's important to them and determining how best to maintain the integrity of the site, while providing the high standard of design, amenities and care our residents will expect," said Margaret Scott, Belmont Village's Chief Investment Officer. "By working together we've come up with a beautiful complement to the area that our future residents will be proud to call home, which is always our first development goal."
The Belmont Village design uses only five of 13 acres originally purchased for the project, enabling the company to preserve 4,000 trees and much of the natural vegetation. The custom plan calls for the senior housing community to be nestled just below the hillside, hiding much of the building behind the tree line. What guests will discover upon approach is a traditional Texas Hill Country-style design, intended to make visitors and Belmont Village residents feel comfortable and welcome.
"We bring a unique perspective as both a developer and operator of senior living communities," said Scott. "We want to create a place where our residents can continue the lifestyles they've chosen. That can only happen through thoughtful design- both in our buildings and in our programs. The result is a building that integrates well with the local design custom, but is all Belmont Village in terms of our quality, programs, training and staff."
Belmont Village's trademarked enrichment programs are designed to be adaptable across a range of abilities. For example, MBA Club®, for mind-body awareness, offers the more active residents a chance to participate in mental and physical workouts that engage specific areas of the brain, allowing them to set goals and monitor their progress.
The company's Circle of Friends® for Mild Cognitive Impairment recently received a Healthcare Quality Improvement Award from George Mason University. The Belmont program was recognized as being the first for this diagnosis to include regular program assessments to measure effectiveness. Belmont Village continues its adaptive program approach in its Alzheimer's Neighborhood, offering Person-Centered Living® through daily interaction and a full calendar of appropriately targeted activities.
Belmont Village West Lake Hills will be an upscale, for-rent community. Fees will be monthly, with no long-term commitments or large entrance fees required. The building will house 141 private studio and one-bedroom apartments, plus an array of common areas for social gatherings, activities, lectures, and entertainment.
Amenities will include a professionally managed fitness center, swimming pool and outdoor areas, a technology center and Wi-Fi access. Hospitality features chef-prepared meals with over 24 daily menu choices, a bistro, concierge and transportation services, and a daily calendar of activities and outings. A licensed nurse will be on-site 24/7.
