MENLO PARK, Calif., July 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), a $4 billion global venture capital firm investing in consumer, enterprise, and healthcare technology companies, today announced the promotion of Andrew Hedin to Vice President.
Andrew joined BVP in 2015 by way of F-Prime Capital, Fidelity's healthcare-focused venture capital fund. During his time at BVP, he's invested in or played a significant role in portfolio companies that include AccuVein, Bright Health, Docent Health, Fractyl and Rock Health, among others. In his new role, he will continue to focus on early stage investing in healthcare technology, healthcare services, biotech and medtech companies.

Andrew started his career at Leerink Partners, a boutique healthcare firm where he focused on growth strategies for biotech, medical device and pharmaceutical companies. He also worked with Health Essentials, a healthcare services company focused on providing post-acute and coordinated care to the frail and elderly, and sits on the steering committee for the New England Venture Network, the largest group of young venture capitalists in the New England area.
Andrew holds an MBA from The Wharton School, where he majored in Health Care Management and Finance, as well as a B.A. in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, where he conducted research in both the neuroscience and psychology departments.
