Bet4Balls.com was founded by four passionate football fans to work alongside Prostate Cancer UK to bring awareness to the disease which sees as many as 1 in 7 men in the UK suffering from at some point in their lives.
One of the founders of Bet4Balls.com Daniel Sanderson said "We admire what Movember achieved in successfully bringing millions of men together to fight for a single cause and help raise money for a fantastic charity. We want to replicate that same success to raise awareness of prostate cancer in the UK as well as providing valuable funds to help with new methods of detection and treatment."
Bet4Balls.com combines entrepreneurship and philanthropy creating an innovative social enterprise. The main aim in doing this is to act as a catalyst for increasing social responsibility within the online gambling industry.
Notes to Editors:
- Prostate Cancer UK themselves have recently launched a new section on their website, focusing on their partnership with 'The Football League' (http://prostatecanceruk.org/menunited). With the campaign's tagline, "Men United vs. Prostate Cancer", it aims to unite men over a common interest, football. Bet4balls is looking to also harness this idea of common support in bringing together men in the fight against prostate cancer.
