LONDON, December 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Apparel industry news, insight and research portal just-style has announced the opening of the testing program for its new apparel sourcing planning tool, re:source.
Created to help apparel companies save time, reduce cost and understand supply chain risk, just-style is seeking a limited number of people to help test re:source prior to its launch in 2017.
A key component of the product will be a trade agreements and tariffs database that dissects complex apparel trade agreement rules and schedules. Users of the service will be able to view and compare duties for a range of product categories across all countries and all free trade agreements in one place, with guides to rules of origin, updated news and analysis.
The tool will also include trade data, providing detailed data on import and export values, volumes and average prices by country and region across a range of product categories.
Leonie Barrie, managing editor at just-style, said: "The sourcing world has become more complicated. Clothing firms increasingly need easy and immediate access to the information required to make better strategic sourcing decisions.
"re:source will guide sourcing teams through different product and country sourcing scenarios, save hours currently wasted researching trade agreements and tariffs, and provide forecasts of manufacturing costs by country - all supported by world-class insight from a global team of experts," Barrie added.
Applications to join the testing program are now being accepted, and those involved in the apparel sourcing process, both buyers and suppliers, can apply now.
