BHG Owners Named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of The Year Award Finalist
SYRACUSE, N.Y., May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bankers Healthcare Group is pleased to announce that the three co-owners, Albert Crawford, Robert Castro and Eric Castro, have been named Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalists. The three managing partners have been recognized for their innovative business model, entrepreneurial spirit and for being forerunners within the ever changing healthcare financial area.
Beverly Eha, program manager at Ernst & Young stated, "We're so pleased to have these three entrepreneurs as finalists in our Florida program. Albert, Bob and Eric are a prime example of what it means to be an entrepreneur today. The organizations Ernst & Young recognizes are important to the economic growth in our country. The independent judging panel will base their decision on numerous criteria including vision, leadership, innovation, achievement, perseverance and the story behind the nominee's success."
If you were to ask Albert, Bob and Eric the secret ingredient to their success their answer would be "heritability." It is simply in their DNA. The three partners together are a dynamic trio that create the ultimate entrepreneur. With an investment of only $25,000, an idea, a lot of hard work and much uncertainty the three men launched a powerhouse financing company tailor-made to serve today's healthcare provider. Ten years later, the company employs over 110 team mates among their corporate office in southern Florida, Manhattan, Syracuse, NY and Denver, CO. Since their modest beginnings, BHG has originated, funded and placed nearly one billion dollars in medical loans at over 400 community banks across the nation. It is safe to say the future looks bright for these three grateful entrepreneurs.
Mr. Crawford, CEO and Chairman of Bankers Healthcare Group added, "We are all extremely honored to be part of this esteemed celebration of Florida's entrepreneurs. The three partners complement each other's strengths and we work very well together. However, I'm sure Bob and Eric would agree that BHG would not be a finalist today if it were not for the 100 plus employees that we trust to help drive our company. It has been a challenging and fulfilling 10 years, and we all look forward to continued success."
For over the past 7 years, BHG has achieved no less than double-digit growth and shows no signs of slowing down. To date, BHG has helped over 50,000 healthcare providers throughout the country grow and expand their practices.
