MILLVILLE, N.J, April 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The excitement of heavy-duty truck racing returns to the United States for the first time since 1993 when, beginning today, drivers start their engines for the Meritor ChampTruck World Series® 2015 season opener at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Friday's events are free to the public. Gates open at 8 a.m., with practice events taking place throughout the day. A two-hour mini endurance race starts at 6 p.m. Warm-ups, qualifying events and autograph sessions are set for Saturday. Races continue on Sunday with a podium race at 4:15 p.m. and awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Admission on Saturday and Sunday is $20 per person. Any conventional or cab-over truck that's at least 5 years old can race in the Meritor ChampTruck World Series events throughout the country.
