Biggs|Gilmore Wins SAMMY Award for Cottonelle's "Name It" Campaign
KALAMAZOO, Mich., Sept. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Competing against some of the country's best social media campaigns, digital creative agency Biggs|Gilmore received three trophies at the 2012 SAMMY Awards Gala in New York City, including a SAMMY Award for Best Social Promotion (Kimberly-Clark/Cottonelle).
Cottonelle's "Name It" campaign asks consumers to name the routine of using its dry bath tissue and flushable moist wipes together. Social media play a big role in the multimedia effort to normalize the routine, as consumers are invited to Facebook where they can use a name generator to randomize, personalize or customize their names for the routine, then share with friends through a variety of tools.
The agency was also a finalist for Best Social Creative (Kellogg Company/Rice Krispies) and Best Facebook Branding Campaign (Kellogg Company/Morningstar Farms).
"It takes great clients to trust their agency to produce breakthrough work. Fortunately for Biggs|Gilmore, we've got quite a few great clients," said Marino Puhalj, senior vice president, executive creative director at Biggs|Gilmore.
Now in its fourth year, the SAMMY Awards honor overall excellence and breakthrough achievement in social advertising, media and marketing. The SAMMYs are presented by DIGIDAY.
