Binary Group Awarded Army Contract for Financial Management Training

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Binary Group, a leading woman-owned small business government contractor, was awarded a contract to provide their innovative and interactive FM training courses to the 33^rd Financial Management Support Unit (FMSU) at Fort Drum, NY.  The training program focused on finance operations, and included commercial vendor services (CVS) and disbursing operations in a deployed environment using both manual and automated (GFEBS) process in accounts payable operations, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and the Deployable Disbursing System (DDS).  The training was tailored specifically around their training objectives and will contribute to their preparation for upcoming individual and unit deployments.

The training was conducted at Fort Drum in September, receiving rave reviews from the soldiers.  Many stated the training "was the best they had received in their military career."  Students gained a strong working knowledge of the critical FM skills associated with CVS and disbursing and how to apply them in performing their FM mission in legacy systems or GFEBS, the Army's ERP system, as they relate to the financial management operations support mission.
