Today's Report Card by the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism sends a dire warning that America still remains vulnerable to bioterrorism.  Our Nation's ability to prevent and respond to a bioterrorist attack received an abysmal grade – 'F'. This is entirely unacceptable, especially when we have the solutions.  We have next generation medical countermeasures for anthrax that are languishing without adequate funding to ensure their procurement; we have leaders like Senators Graham and Talent, and many others, who are passionately dedicated to preventing WMD proliferation and terrorism.  As the Report Card makes clear, we need increased funding, more accountability, and less fragmented decision-making.   We have the answers and the solutions—it is imperative that we execute.  PharmAthene is committed to working with our partners in government to implement the solutions, and applauds Senators Graham and Talent for their leadership and dedication to this cause.
