Blackhawk Specialty Tools Announces Addition of Scott A. McCurdy as Chief Financial Officer

HOUSTON, June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackhawk Specialty Tools, LLC, announced that Scott A. McCurdy has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer effective June 15, 2011.  Mr. McCurdy will be responsible for oversight of the financial and certain other administrative functions worldwide and will report to Billy Brown , the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining the company Mr. McCurdy most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Geokinetics Inc., a publically traded provider of seismic data acquisition and processing services to the oil & gas industry worldwide, from September 2006 to August 2010.  Prior to joining Geokinetics, Mr. McCurdy served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary of Grant Geophysical, Inc. from October 2003 to September 2006 and as Controller from July 2001 until he was promoted in October 2003. Prior to that, he served as a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen, LLP focusing on public and private companies in the oil & gas and oil field services industries. Mr. McCurdy is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs.
