Bleakley Financial Group to Present The Allen Meisels Memorial Golf Classic Benefiting New Jersey SEEDS

NEWARK, N.J., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- New Jersey SEEDS, a nonprofit changing the lives of high-achieving students from low-income families by creating educational opportunities, will host The Allen Meisels Memorial Golf Classic on Monday, September 18. Presented by Bleakley Financial Group, the event will be held at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell.

"Allen served as a New Jersey SEEDS Trustee for more than 20 years. He was one of the major drivers behind the creation of our Golf Classic, and brought that same dedication, innovation and compassion to all he did with SEEDS. I also want to thank Andy Schwartz, SEEDS Trustee and Golf Committee Chair, and his colleagues at Bleakley Financial Group for their continued support. Since the team at Bleakley has sponsored the Golf Classic, SEEDS has raised nearly $2.7 million for our students – enough to support nearly 160 scholars' SEEDS' experiences. Last year, over 140 golfers, tennis players and guests joined SEEDS to raise more than $200,000 in support of its students. All proceeds from the event benefit New Jersey SEEDS scholars.

On September 18, golf registration and brunch begin at 10:00 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. A cocktail reception and auction will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner and an awards ceremony.
