"It's definitely a unique way to close the user-experiential gap and maximize advertising exposure - two of our biggest goals in taking the company to the next level," says Favale, Blingby's co-founder and CEO. "We're all about bringing key interactions directly to the user for a richer more diverse shopping experience and maximizing advertiser exposure which feeds through to higher and more precise user interaction. We are already achieving completion rates and click-through rates in specific campaigns 60 to 70 percent above industry benchmarks."
Audio recognition uses a special sound fingerprinting technology, which samples surrounding audio, creates a unique sound fingerprint and uploads it to servers hosting a catalogue of tracks and songs. When a match is found on the servers, the software sends track info back to the app. This new feature is available on both iOS and Android in Blingby version 2.1.0.
"Adding audio recognition to Blingby apps means that now, with just one touch, users can identify and purchase products, goods and even vacations based on the music they hear in social settings or on the radio or TV," says Favale. "It's the perfect accent to any 21st-century shopping experience."
"We're always innovating," says Favale. "It's what sets our company, our site and our apps apart, and it's what will keep us on the cutting edge of the entertainment and technology industry for years to come."
