Select BLOCKBUSTER stores to host special events for vampire phenomenon

DALLAS, March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As the vampire phenomenon "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" is released on DVD and Blu-ray, Blockbuster Inc. (NYSE: BBI, BBI.B) stores across the country will stay open past midnight Friday, March 19. In addition to picking up "Twilight" to rent or buy when the clock strikes 12:01 a.m. Saturday, select stores will host midnight DVD release parties. Customers who pre-ordered the movie also will be able to pick up their copies.

Midnight DVD release parties will be held at select BLOCKBUSTER stores. Fans should contact the stores for start times and event details.

Additional merchandise available at select locations include "Scene It?: Twilight Deluxe Edition," "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack, bracelets, a fleece throw with either Edward or Jacob, framed art including Jacob, Edward and group photos, and gift cards for movie lovers with Edward and Bella.
