Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Names G. Brint Ryan to Affiliate Board

RICHARDSON, Texas, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) announced today that G. Brint Ryan , CEO and Managing Principal of Ryan, LLC, has been elected to its board.  The board's function is to advise the company about local business activities, health care developments, community relations opportunities and community priorities in Texas.

Mr. Ryan holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in accounting from the University of North Texas (UNT) and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The company he founded, Ryan, LLC, is a leading global tax services firm, with the largest indirect tax practice in North America and the seventh largest corporate tax practice in the United States.
