Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan statement on President Obama's remarks regarding changes to the ACA
DETROIT, Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, President Obama addressed the nation to update Americans on the status of individual enrollment and coverage options under the ACA. Following the President's remarks, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan issued the following statement.
"Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan monitored today's remarks by President Obama, but we will need to review and understand the substantive changes he is proposing in the ACA regulations before we are able to inform our customers of the impact of those changes on their coverage," said Andy Hetzel, vice president of corporate communications for BCBSM. "Our phone lines are lighting up today, but unfortunately we cannot fully inform our customers until we review the new regulations."
"As new information becomes available, Blue Cross will continue to keep customers informed in order to help them better understand the implications of the changes discussed today."
