EAGAN, Minn., July 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) recently named Dr. Peter Brodrick as medical director specializing in behavioral health. In this role, Dr. Brodrick is responsible for the strategy, design, development and operations of behavioral health care management activities for all lines of business.

Dr. Brodrick is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and Ralph H. Johnson Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and certified as a Diplomat in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Prior to Blue Cross, Dr. Brodrick was an adult, geriatric and consult liaison psychiatrist with Allina Hospitals and Clinics. He has also held psychiatric positions at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin and the Canterbury District Health Board in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dr. Brodrick has published several articles on behavioral health and has a special interest in posttraumatic stress disorder.
