BNY Mellon Asset Servicing Wins Financial-i 'Leader in Innovation' Awards for Securities Services Provider-North America and for Securities Outsourcing
NEW YORK and LONDON, Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, announced that for the third year in a row it has received a 'Leader in Innovation' award for Securities Services Provider-North America from Financial-i magazine. The company also captured the honor for Securities Outsourcing, making it the only global custodian to win an award in more than one category.
Financial-i's sixth annual Leaders in Innovation Awards span more than 50 categories in global transaction banking. Awards are presented to banks and financial hardware and software vendors that in the last 12 months have excelled in terms of innovation in the major categories of: payments and cash management, securities services, trade finance & supply chain, and business solutions. Winners are chosen based on research conducted by Financial i's team of journalists and independent analysts, and then passed to an advisory panel comprising analysts, consultants and market practitioners.
"After another year of challenge and change, we believe innovation remains key to market leadership and growth," said Lou Maiuri, head of Global Outsourcing for BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. "From new mobile dashboard capabilities for clients using tablets to more interactive analytics and advanced outsourcing solutions, we continue to expand how and what information is delivered to clients to better inform their decision-making and boost efficiency. We're honored to be recognized for these two awards by Financial-i and its advisory panel."
"Most of the innovation we are seeing [in the industry] is on the back of regulation, acquisitions and the slow but continued penetration of mobile, social networking and collaborative technologies in the transaction banking space," said Anita Hawser, managing editor of Financial-i.
