Bold Girlz, the New Teen Fashion Brand With a Mission, Announces Freshwater Haven as Featured Charity for September
10% of Proceeds of Product Sales for September from Online Store, BoldGirlz.com, to be Donated
NEW YORK, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- NEW teen fashion and accessory brand, Bold Girlz has announced its Featured Charity for September is Freshwater Haven. Freshwater Haven is a non-profit organization founded to address the dramatic social change that is required to stop physical, sexual, and emotional abuse of women and children. They sponsor and support domestic and international groups that serve those affected by abuse - including Girl Child Network.
"Bold Girlz support of Freshwater Haven this month is actually two-fold. We are donating 10% of all proceeds of product sales for September from our online store, BoldGirlz.com and since a coalition of international organizations are screening the documentary Tapestries of Hope simultaneously in more than 100 theaters nationwide on September 28th, I will be hosting the showing at Kew Gardens Cinemas in Kew Gardens, Queens," states founder, Cheryl Beck. "Tapestries of Hope follows child-rights advocate, filmmaker, and Freshwater Haven's Executive Director, Michealene Risley to Zimbabwe, as she documents the work of the Girl Child Network. The film is raw and exposes an awful reality - that thousands of young girls in Zimbabwe are raped by men who believe that it will cure them of HIV/AIDS. Ultimately the film focuses on these women and their survival and hope...I am honored to have Bold Girlz aligned with such an incredible organization."
BoldGirlz.com features on-trend and priced right teen apparel and accessories. Each month, Bold Girlz selects a different non-profit to receive a percentage of sales.
BoldGirlz.com showcases four sections that spell out BOLD: Brave, Original, Loving, and Daring and spotlights over 30 girls being BOLD in areas of Sports, Music, the Arts and Community Service. New stories will be posted each month and the featured teens can re-post these stories on Facebook and share them with friends - creating a social networking buzz. Social Media is a major part of the Bold Girlz marketing plan - focusing predominantly on Facebook and Twitter.
Other apparel companies have taken a similar approach to giving back to charity, but no other fashion brand is focused on highlighting and empowering girls. Share your story. Nominate your favorite charity. Visit www.BoldGirlz.com.
