Borderless Fashion Made of Ageless Kimono Textiles - HIROMI ASAI Men's Collection Appears at Liberty Fairs New York

NEW YORK, July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Fashion Week participating fashion brand, HIROMI ASAI, unveiled 2019 spring/summer menswear collection at Pitti Uomo 94 in June, which got popularity with enthusiasm in Italy. Next this new menswear collection appears at Liberty Fairs New York. The theme of the collection is "Eden," representing sophisticated, ageless and borderless fashion with beauty and romance. Comfortable and well-tailored shirts and jackets were made of finest Kimono cotton textile, Ise Momen.

Ise Momen has more-than-350-year history, slowly woven by 100-year-old weaving machines in Mie, Japan, but now only one workshop survives. HIROMI ASAI asks this workshop to weave premium cotton textiles for the collection with unique but modern patterns. Because Ise Momen was originally used for Japanese summer cotton bathrobes, it efficiently absorbs sweat. It becomes softer and softer after hand-washing several times.

HIROMI ASAI designs 2019 spring/summer collection to make the best use of this premium cotton. The shirts and jackets are not only comfortable and functional, but also stylish and bold to form beautiful silhouette, suitable for business or casual occasions. HIROMI ASAI works together with Sanyo Industry Inc. and Fashion Kobo Kuroishi in Japan to elaborately manufacture the shirts and jackets with accurate pattern matching. In addition, a modelist, Takashi Nagano, at Sanyo Shokai works with HIROMI ASAI to complete pattern making for the collection.

For presentation at Liberty Fairs, HIROMI ASAI newly launches silk vests, precisely woven in Tango, Kyoto, Japan by the Nuitori technique, which are used for Kimono textiles. These silk vests have oriental bold motifs on their backsides and well-fit HIROMI ASAI Ise Momen cotton shirts to form urban luxury outfits.
