Boston Advisors announces acquisition of assets of Weyland Capital Management
BOSTON, July 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Advisors, LLC has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Weyland Capital Management ("Weyland"), an investment advisory firm based in Portsmouth, NH. Weyland manages $175 million of multi-asset portfolios for approximately 130 clients nationwide. These clients will join Boston Advisors' Private Advisory Group, which serves affluent clients with customized, sophisticated and institutional-caliber investment programs.
Boston Advisors found Weyland's business attractive because of their commitment to achieving clients' financial goals and strong investment culture. The new partnership will facilitate succession planning for Weyland's CEO Polly Henkel. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September. The combined organization is expected to manage approximately $4.8 billion in assets for well over 500 clients domestically and internationally.
