LOS ANGELES, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Swiss watchmaker BOVET 1822 once again supported Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) by sponsoring the Hollywood Domino pre-Oscar event at the historic Sunset Tower Hotel. Owner of BOVET, Mr. Pascal Raffy, was joined that evening by APJ foundation founder and Academy award-winning director Paul Haggis and stars supporting the cause, including: Jon Hamm, Kevin Jonas, Maria Bello, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Beckinsale, Adrian Brody, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Rumer Willis and Omar Epps.
After raising over $1.7 million in 2013, BOVET hopes to aid in procuring even more vital funds this year, continuing their support for the school of Peace and Justice in Haiti, which was created for children affected by the earthquake of 2010. This was the third year in a row in which BOVET has been the main sponsor of this event, marking the first stage of BOVET's standing commitment announced in December 2012, when they pledged continued support to the charity for a minimum of five years and five million dollars.
To further support the cause, Mr. Raffy and BOVET offered a handcrafted unique timepiece as the grand prize for the Hollywood Domino Tournament- the culmination of the evening's event. The winner of the Hollywood Domino Tournament was graciously offered a Cambiano Chronograph designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, famed Italian car design House.
After an exciting night of successful fundraising and fun for all those who came to support APJ's mission of education, a total of over half a million dollars was raised- a truly sweet ending to a beautiful night.
