Bowlmor Lanes Releases Their First Commercial in Their Series of 'Bowl the Perfect...' Ads Showing Consumers the Sexier Side of Bowling
NEW YORK, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This week marked the premiere of Bowlmor Lanes' newest ad campaign, "Bowl the Perfect First Date." The 60-second television spot, shot in reverse, lets the viewer tag along, as strangers become lovers on their first date at Bowlmor Lanes.
The spot opens with a couple engaged in a passionate, no holds barred kiss. The camera pulls out to reveal that the tryst is not taking place on the couples' bed, but at one of the lanes at Bowlmor. What follows is a montage set to seductive electronica music depicting the entire evening preceding the kiss in reverse motion. The final shot is on the street outside Bowlmor Lanes as the young man waits for his date to arrive.
This new commercial artistically portrays the transformative properties that an evening at Bowlmor possesses. We see in reverse how the couple moves from an awkward hello, to nervous glances over drinks, to playful touches while teaching each other to bowl, to a full blown passionate kiss. A bowling alley may seem like an unlikely backdrop for a love story, but Bowlmor Lanes is not your grandfather's bowling alley.
