Boy Scouts of America Set to Honor Bill Kozyra, Chairman, President and CEO of TI Automotive
The Great Lakes Field Service Council, Boy Scouts of America to present Bill Kozyra the Distinguished Citizen Award for his outstanding commitment to the youth of Southeast Michigan
DETROIT, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 300 community, civic, and business leaders from Southeast Michigan will attend the Great Lakes Field Service Council, Boy Scouts of America's 16th Annual Distinguished Citizen Award Fundraising Dinner to honor Bill Kozyra, Chairman, President and CEO of TI Automotive Ltd. The event, which will be held on June 1st at the Detroit Athletic Club will recognize Mr. Kozyra for his continued commitment and support in preparing over 24,000 Scouts for life.
Mr. Kozyra has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at TI Automotive since June 2008. Prior to joining TI Automotive, Kozyra was President and CEO of Continental AG North America, a position he held for nearly 10 years. Recognized for his thoughtful insights into the challenges facing management today and in the future, Kozyra has spoken often to industry, media and educational institutions on the specific issues of the significance of the automotive industry, automotive megatrends and safety, Tier One supply chain management and collaboration and leadership in times of change.
In addition, Mr. Kozyra, a Boy Scout alumnus, has been an active member of Council's executive board since 2000. He has been a tireless fundraiser for the Council and an enthusiastic champion of Scouting. Mr. Kozyra possesses a personal understanding of the profound and life-changing experiences that are unique to the Boy Scout experience. Most recently, Mr. Kozyra served as chairman of the 2013 Rendezvous, the largest weekend encampment of Scouts in the nation.
His dedication and wise counsel have been invaluable to the Boy Scouts' Southeast Council.
