In 2009, the Dinner was renamed to honor Tim Russert, a true advocate and passionate supporter of the Clubs. "The Tim Russert Congressional Dinner is a marquis occasion for our kids and teens, showcasing their accomplishments and all that can be achieved in partnership with great staff and dedicated supporters," shared Pandit F. Wright, BGCGW CEO & President. Serving as Dinner Chair is David M. Velazquez, Executive Vice President Pepco Holdings Inc. To continue in the proud tradition, the Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Luke Russert, son of the late Tim Russert and NBC News Correspondent.
Title sponsors for this year's dinner gala include Pepco Holdings, Inc, PhRMA and Stanley Martin Homes. Funds raised from the Dinner will provide support for BGCGW programming.
