Brent Pearson, UBM Electronics CTO, to Speak at MediaNext 2012 on Developing an E-Learning Business
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Electronics, the daily source of essential business and technical information for the design engineering and electronics industry's decision makers, today announced that Brent Pearson, CTO, will share insights on developing an E-Learning business at MediaNext 2012, a multi-platform conference for the publishing industry focused on the transformation of digital media and the introduction of new platforms, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City from October 29-31, 2012.
On Monday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m., Pearson will participate in the panel and interactive workshop "How to Build an E-Learning Business." The panel will discuss the components of a successful e-learning business, including skills development based curriculum, multiple-session modules, between session interaction, attracting qualified instructors and end-of-course certification. In addition, the panelists will explore all facets of e-learning, from scoping out topics, attracting audiences, creating the content, pricing and learning management platform options. Prior to UBM, Pearson was Director of Technology for Carat, a full service digital media company that provides technology consulting services to Fortune 1000 companies. Earlier, he was the Director of Development for TradePoint Solutions, a software-as-a-service provider in the consumer packaged goods industry. Pearson also cofounded Lawdex, focused on creating and sharing legal documentation and communication electronically. In April 2012, Pearson was named a C-level visionary in the FOLIO: 40 for rebuilding the company's technology infrastructure into a scalable, single-platform operation.
