NEW YORK, Jan. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MWWPR today announced that Bret Werner, co-founder and former Managing Director of Catalyst, has joined the global independent firm as Chief Client Officer and Executive Vice-President. In this new role, Bret will be responsible for leading strategy, growth and deepening client relationships across all practice groups and offices.

Werner will report to Michael Kempner and be a leading member of the agency's senior executive committee.
Under Werner's leadership, Catalyst was a three-time winner of PRWeek's Agency of the Year, the 2015 SABRE Consumer Agency of the Year, and PRWeek's and SABRE's Best Use of Crisis Communication for work with Under Armour at the Sochi Winter Olympics.
Prior to Catalyst, Werner was Managing Partner at Taylor, where as a member of the management team, he helped reposition the firm and its business approach. That strategy was highlighted by Harvard Business School in a case study of that restructuring entitled "Transformation at Taylor." Taylor's revamp earned The Holmes Report's Consumer Agency of the Decade award.
