Brightstar Names Toby Mannheimer as Senior Vice President - Global Human Resources
MIAMI, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Brightstar Corp., a global leader in services and solutions for the wireless industry, announced today the appointment of Toby Mannheimer as senior vice president – global human resources. Mannheimer has strong expertise in talent management, succession planning, compensation and benefits, and a track record of building companies' human resources capabilities. She will report to Marcelo Claure, chairman, president & CEO, and will work closely with the Brightstar senior executive team to implement initiatives to drive the company's organizational performance.

Before joining Brightstar, Mannheimer served as vice president, human resources at Technitrol, a publicly traded, global high technology manufacturing company where she led the human resources function for an organization with more 22,000 employees in North America, Europe and Asia. In this role, she was responsible for talent management, organizational optimization, and recruitment and retention, working closely with Technitrol's CEO and the Board of Directors.
Prior to her work at Technitrol, Mannheimer was the vice president of corporate services at PJM Interconnection, a wholesale electricity organization, where she led all centralized corporate functions including human resources, customer relations, governance, corporate communications, and business planning. Earlier while at United Technologies, she was the vice president of human resources for the Engineering and Information Technology groups at Pratt & Whitney, and head of human resources for Carrier's Latin American operations. In addition, she has also led functions such as corporate communications, procurement, shared services, and quality.
Mannheimer is an adjunct professor at Villanova University and is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from global talent management, employee engagement, shared services, work/life strategies and retention. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and philosophy from Brandeis University, as well as a master's of science in management degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
