Bring Fun Back, One Step, Skip or Sprint at a Time Shout® Inspires the Country to Have More Fun through The Color Run™
RACINE, Wis., June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Have you had fun today? A recent study found nearly 75 percent of us haven't, saying day-to-day responsibilities often get in the way of good old fashioned fun1. Shout® created the Shout It Out campaign, a nationwide call to action for Americans to have actual fun, even if it means making a mess.
As part of the Shout It Out campaign, Shout® is sponsoring The Color Run™, living its belief that fun comes in every color of the rainbow. The Color Run™ is a five-kilometer, untimed race in which thousands of participants, or "Color Runners," are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer and even following the race at the Finish Festival.
Having fun with color is at the core of The Color Run™ and at the core of Shout®, especially with Color Catcher®, the absorbent sheets that trap loose dyes in wash water, protecting clothes against color bleeds and helping preserve original colors. Perfect for removing color and stains, Color Catcher® will come in handy post-race for all Color Run participants who will receive a sample in their race kits.
In addition, runners at select races can stop by the Shout® tent and visit the Shout® Color Camera to produce a 360-degree video of their messy moments to share with their friends. These special activations will be happening at the following races:

- Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia – July 19
- Washington Square/Library Square, Downtown, Salt Lake City – August 23
- Portland International Raceway, Portland – September 6
