OPENING

Flatbush Avenue Entrance Opens
June 2015
BBG's Flatbush Avenue entrance has been renovated with improved amenities including an entry pavilion designed by ARO, an early-spring garden, and renewal of the historic McKim, Mead & White archway.

Discovery Garden Opens
Opening Festival: June 6, 2015
BBG's new Discovery Garden, designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, inspires wonder and curiosity about the environment in settings based on native ecosystems.

Hanami: Cherry Blossom Season
Spring 2015

Sakura Matsuri 
April 25 & April 26, 2015 
BBG's legendary cherry blossom festival, Sakura Matsuri, is a thrilling tribute to the Garden's spring botanical display with over 60 performances and exhibits highlighting the best of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.

Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden Centennial 
September 2015–June 2016
Opened in 1915, BBG's iconic Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden is one of the oldest and most visited Japanese-inspired gardens outside Japan. Centennial events include special tours, public programs, exhibitions, and more.

Isamu Noguchi at Brooklyn Botanic Garden
September 8–December 13, 2015
As part of the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden's centennial, BBG presents an exhibition of sculpture by renowned artist Isamu Noguchi, organized in collaboration with the Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum.

Chile Pepper Festival
