BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Nov. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Brother International Corporation today announced plans for the year-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of its iconic P-touch brand. In late 1988, Brother introduced the very first P-touch Labeler, the PT-6, to give businesses an affordable, easy-to-use tool for quickly producing professional-looking labels for organizing file folders, computer disks and other office materials. The PT-6 was an immediate success, resonating with customers, and helping to redefine the labeling market.
In time, P-touch labelers gained a foothold in the consumer market, fueled in no small part by the imagination and creativity of our customers. More and more people were embracing the convenience of creating unique, personalized labels for home projects, crafting, and to help organize their living space.
Over the past 25 years, the P-touch brand has expanded to include a full line of handheld, desktop, and PC-connectible label makers, as well as many sizes, styles and colors of labeling tapes, including the customer-favorite TZe series of durable laminated tapes. Additionally, a multi-platform advertising campaign is planned, kicking off in January 2014, with the "25 Days of P-touch Labeling" a series of daily stories showcasing the power of a P-touch Labeler in the hands of a dedicated user.
